Saturn goes retrograde conjunct the South Node (happens again July 5th and Sept 28th). For the next six months, we’ll clear away what’s excessive, let go of anything that has a draining effect on us + streamline. Review past choices of where we feel bogged down or heavy. Engage in creative thinking, problem solving, creative solutions. Maximize what’s working! NEW MOON in Taurus on Saturday, May 4th Theme: Enjoy the simple things. Aspects: “More Ferdinanding!”: Be Ferdinand the peaceful bull. Rest + relax + enjoy simple pleasures when life gets chaotic. Venus encourages us to deepen into a sense of our authentic value in the world Illuminates: Stripping away excess. Awareness of where you experience conflict. Shadow-side: Pay attention to Taurus-related themes like: money, health, properties, material things. NEW MOON RITUALS: Rx: Keep it simple. Eat chocolate in nature. Take yourself out to an exquisite meal, for no reason. And I really hope you don't leave without ordering dessert. ; ) Sunday, May 5th: Mars + Jupiter Tension Try to find a new point of view if there are conflicts. Take your time making decisions. Tuesday, May 7th: Heart Pressure You may experience some restriction, loneliness + pressure around love. Or you may feel conflicted between a desire to work hard vs. fall in love. Review your budget and make practical decisions around money. Keep making romantic gestures, but if you get no response, pull back/cut it off. Wednesday, May 8th: Electrical jolt! Uranus in Taurus gives us an electrical jolt, resulting in ah-ha’s moments, connections + creative ideas. Or it could lead to talking too much or speaking without thinking first. Ground yourself, drink water, eat your good fats + proteins. Thursday, May 9th: Venus/Jupiter Look at how far you’ve come in your relationships. Reflect on all the relationship work you did during the past 2 lunar cycles with Libra patterns. Saturday, May 11th: Earth Trine Make lists, budgets + project plans. Put some stability under your ideas. Look to hindsights around what’s worked well in the past to give you ideas about what will work going forward. Wed, May 15th - June 8th: Venus in Taurus + Mars in Cancer Venus (love + $) in Taurus feels like: Harmony, growth, pleasure, mud baths, flowers, chocolate, music, poetry, good smells + massage. Mars (action + will) in Cancer feels like: moody, sensitive, soggy, steamed up (“turd flies into your swimming pool”, hah!); martial arts in the ocean. Mars goes ‘out of bounds’ (swings way out of orbit) feels: a little volatile, out of control, rogue. We may feel defensiveness or moodiness. Create good emotional boundaries. This phenomenon is giving us a little preview of the wild summer eclipses. You can use the energy to create a new home vibe. Look at Cancer in your personal natal chart to see how exactly it affects you and the area in which you’ll want to develop more emotional connection + self-reliance vs. defensiveness. Thursday, May 16th Focus on productivity and be pragmatic. Tuesday + Wednesday, April 16th + 17th: Mercury into Aries Mercury leaves Pisces and goes into Aries. Communication becomes more fiery, blunt, assertive/aggressive, sharp and quick. FULL MOON in Scorpio on Saturday, May 18th Theme: Look for intimacy, not intensity. Illuminates: Self-soothing. Ability to take care of your body. Cover yourself in mud or a clay mask to detox. Ask yourself: what am I hiding? Tuesday, May 21st: Sun goes into Gemini + Cazimi Socializing, fun, communication, learning new things, cross-pollination, networking. Cazimi: sparkly, magic meteor moment that feels like a messenger. Experience fresh insights + levity. Be a trickster. Play more. Put a whoopie cushion in someone’s chair. 4th Week in May Chiron activates wounded healer pain points - yay! 5th Week in May Mercury goes ‘out of bounds’ - outside its usual orbit, which can feel confusing, i.e. double time trickster energy.
