SNAIL VINE FLOWER ESSENCE

Have you been experiencing...
  • Extremes of misunderstanding or unhealthy enmeshment
  • Exploration of how you get attached to others
  • Sense of complication or entanglement in relationships
  • Being too empathetic
  • Not being empathetic enough
  • Resistance, barriers or obstacles to understanding
  • Sense of control or tightness that kills vitality
  • Disconnection or misunderstanding

If these experiences resonate with you, you're likely drawn to the Snail Vine Flower.

WHAT IT REVEALS

If you’re drawn to the Snail Vine flower, you may be experiencing extremes of either a perceived lack of connection or enmeshment.

If you're experiencing a lack of connection, you may be feeling a sense of resistance, barriers or obstacles to understanding in relationships. There may be misunderstandings, fuzzy communications or loose ends. On the other end, your behavior in certain relationships may be too empathetic, entangled and enmeshed.

You may find that you are evaluating your relationships to see where there is either lack of connection – or a sense of being overly complicated or with too much stickiness or attachment.

WHAT IT CATALYZES

The Snail Vine Flower helps us take the middle path between extremes of lack of connection vs. being overly connected.

If we’ve been experiencing a lack of connection, it gives us more courage to feel the way others feel, amplifying empathy and listening. It boosts our capacity to have patience and tune into the people we surround ourselves with.

We can develop and express more compassion, gratitude and fearlessly dive into the softness and emotional vulnerability of feeling what others feel. We can also express ourselves, share profound or revealing life experiences with others – allowing them a window into our psyche.

If we’ve been unhealthily intertwined or enmeshed in any of our relationships, it helps us dissolve the tightness & clinging of attachment. As a result, we no longer experience compromised vitality or energetic suffocation. We experience less fear and grasping, and as the entanglement loosens, we liberate greater freedom & expression within our systems

FUN FACTS

The Snail Vine is also known as Corkscrew Vine or Vigna caracalla ~ coming from the Portuguese word "caracol" (snail). In Hinduism, Snail Vine is also associated with the elephant-headed god of wisdom and new beginnings, as the curled flowers also resemble an elephant’s trunk.

Its intriguing, unusual beauty has made Snail Vine a symbol of elegance & exotic addition to bouquets. Thomas Jefferson grew the vine at his home in Monticello & famously called it "the most beautiful bean in the world."

Like all members of the bean family, Snail Vine is beneficial for gardens, adding nitrogen to the soil. The flowers are magnets for pollinators & have an intense fragrance comparable to Hyacinth & Jasmine. At their peak, the smell can be noticed from up to 15 feet away!

Remarkably fast growing, the Snail Vine can expand between 10 and 20 feet in one season, and has been known to establish itself in new areas & spread aggressively.
