FLOWER ALTAR AT THE RUBIN MUSEUM

May 13, 2019

We were invited to build an interactive flower mandala for Tuesday evening’s Fete at the @rubinmuseum. We built a giant mandala on the main floor of the museum at the entrance. What a sparkly crowd!

Guests added flowers to the mandala, and made wishes, prayers + offerings. I was amazed that so many people were excited to sit on the floor with us for flower readings — even countless women in cocktail dresses + high heels!

The following morning we brought all of the flower offerings to the Hudson River, dedicating the collective wishes + petals to the city of New York, the nature spirits and all beings everywhere. May the power of the prayers + wishes multiply millionfold!⠀

Years ago I discovered the @rubinmuseum + fell in love. I found it to be one of the most peaceful places in NYC. I made wishes to teach there. Fast forward to now, I’ve taught several meditation/mindfulness workshops in partnership with @nyyogalifemag , and even offered a smoke offering ceremony. I’m grateful + delighted to be collaborating with such a special crowd + can’t wait to see what we cook up next!

Love + flower petals,
