EXQUISITE PRACTICES

Notice how you set boundaries: Do you set them energetically, mentally, verbally or with body language?
What is the most effective + clear method for you?

In what situations are you able to fully come out of your shell?  What does it feel like, physically in your body, when you do?
How do you express yourself differently with body language, tone of voice and verbal expression?

Do any of the following words makes you feel uncomfortable: fierce, sexy, magnetic, strong, seen/exposed, not ‘nice’.
Try each word on for size and ask yourself why it makes you uncomfortable. See what arises over time.

Notice when you feel like withdrawing, isolating or being alone.
Are you subtly looking to get away from people or you are simply recharging by immersing yourself, within yourself?

In what situations have you found yourself saying or thinking, ‘Back off!’?  When does this arise and how is it expressed?
What is most commonly the boundary that is being overstepped when this reaction occurs?

Wild Delphinium ~ Fierceness

One of the aspects that I noticed the most acutely with taking the Wild Delphinium elixir is the ability to express my fierce side. So I thought I would just talk about that a little bit because I think that a lot of times we have a reluctance to express that side of ourselves because we’re worried about how we might come across, we’re worried about how other people will assimilate our comments or our tone. We’re afraid of harming someone or damaging a relationship. Although all of those are valid concerns, I think that the Wild Delphinium really brings in a freedom of experimentation, exploration and discovery of what the potential or possibilities are around expressing that side of ourselves.

One of the benefits I can see to being able to express our fierce side is that it allows a sort of dynamism. Like a dynamic effect to take place within relationships. Instead of just being PC and nice-nice, beating around the bush, sometimes it’s just really nice to be able to be very sharp and clear and honest. Shoot right from the hip and be really direct, and not worry so much about what the other person is going to feel and think. It’s funny ~ when you sort of unleash in that way without thinking so much or worrying so much about how it’s going to be received, oftentimes the other person in the interaction will also not overthink your intentions. And your pure intentions will come through, even if you’re being fierce, even if your tone is a little more fierce than soft.

It also brings in … it’s sort of like a wake up. Being fierce is like “wow” - people take notice. You know when somebody says something to you that’s a little bit sharp, we take notice. And that can be a really clarifying aspect of a relationship. It also liberates something within ourselves. Oftentimes we repress what we actually feel. We hold back, we stuff it, we suppress things. So Wild Delphinium is really encouraging us to experiment with what it is like to be fierce and to unleash, to say something. Whether it’s ruffling somebody’s feathers or just sort of ruffle the dynamic, enliven things. Wake us all up to our aliveness.

I should also mention that while you’re taking the Wild Delphinium elixir, you may have a heightened awareness or sense of that fierce quality. For example, you may say something and be sort of shocked - like “Oh my god, I can’t believe I said that” or “I can’t believe I said it in that way.” When in fact when you go back to the people that you were with, they may not have interpreted it as extreme as you may have felt it in the moment. Sometimes when we tend to be more shy or hold back or be nice-nice, sometimes we need to swing to the opposite end of the pendulum to find a healthy midway point.

I just love the effects of the Wild Delphinium and I think it helps us trust more in ourselves and our ability to communicate, and to communicate freely, without holding back. To be truthful and being able to embody a sort of fierce quality is invigorating and exciting. And sometimes nerve-wracking! But if we’re with people, especially people who understand, we can even preface with “I’m taking this elixir and it might make me more like this.” It’s a very interesting habit to practice fierce love.

So the question for this week, as you’re taking the Wild Delphinium:
What are you noticing? Is your fierceness coming out and how do you feel about that? And in what situations is your fierceness coming out? When do you find yourself unleashing that fierce quality? What situations are you in when it arises?”

Wild Delphinium ~ Experience

Sometimes when you’re taking an elixir, it’s just nice to know what other people have experienced from that particular flower, so I thought I would just share a little bit about the first time that I took the Wild Delphinium elixir. I was traveling and despite being on a sort of intense travel schedule, I had just the most incredible feeling of freedom and feeling liberated in my own body. I remember feeling so overjoyed and free to express myself, as well as a considerable amount of fearlessness around speech. I was traveling with Taylor, and she and I were both taking the elixir, and we noticed that both of us were saying things that we typically wouldn’t say or we might hold back or keep to ourselves. And we were basically just unleashing! Like feeling free to show a little bit more fierce side of our personalities. I remember Taylor also saying that she felt particularly beautiful during that time period, something that was out of the ordinary.

I remember having an experience where I just felt like I was so content in my body and like I had never known lack or craving or wanting or needing or scarcity. I was so full, feeling so incredibly full from this freedom experience, from the love I was experiencing, loving the place, loving the people I was with. And it just felt like I was full and rich and free. So I share that so you can reflect on what’s happening while you’re taking the Wild Delphinium elixir and see if you’re experiencing heightened levels of fierceness in terms of your personality, what you’re expressing. If you’re expressing things normally wouldn’t express, or in a way that you would normally not express them.

Are you letting your fierce side come out? Is that ok? Are you feeling more magnetic and beautiful? Or a sense of freedom or liberation that you haven’t felt before?
