Intuitive astrologer Kristina Wingeier is back for another episode of the MOONSHINE series on the Flowerlounge Podcast. We dive deep into what to expect this lunar cycle, important dates to throw on your calendar + flower elixirs recommended for getting a jump on *stabilizing* for it all!
Fiery energy in the chart with Chiron (wounded warrior/healer/child) - potential for insecurity or feeling aggressive, assertive, reactive situations, feeling unlovable, unseen, unvalued. Step back, don’t battle. It will feel spicy and inflammatory.
Saturn has us considering long-term and structure when Mars has us wanting to initiate. Even after the full moon is officially over, the moon moves over and squares all the planets in Capricorn.
We’ll feel like we’re in a transitional phase now and throughout the month.
Not the favorite sign for Venus to be in, on a little more of a budget than Venus would like (money, love, art). However, there is a conjunction with a fixed star Regulus (one of four royal stars which give an extra boost of energy); the star gives a sense of “I can be victorious and move through this.”
Pluto is about power, the underbelly, transformation and change that’s out of our control, investigation and revisiting with the retrograde. Pluto is in Capricorn.
New way of looking at something, creative and solution-oriented, unexpected news or repetitive thoughts. Mental nervous system energy on the heels of a spicy full moon weekend
Mercury is in Scorpio: can really hold on to something in the mind (tenacious)
Use this energy to reformulate the way you think about things. Use this Uranus flash to give you a fresh new perspective.
2nd of three squares between Pluto and Mars Rx. It’s about breaking something down into pieces or the dissolution through an alchemical process - could look like power struggles within yourself or with someone else - say like a long-term relationship (landlord, business, family).
Uranus (things coming out of the blue and unexpected) in Venus can be some unexpected news about money or good news.
This happens several times each year and the Sun & Jupiter have the largest gravitational power - they are squaring each other, so it may look like making some proclamation or gesture that doesn’t pan out. Feeling like eyes are bigger than your belly. You may feel drawn to overcommitting to something that you can’t actually do. Also has to do with public events and legal situations - sun shines light on things, so consider that.
Most active week, but feels like busy work, — rearranging the furniture.
Beneficial aspect: look for what’s working, amplify positivity (not worst-case scenario). Jupiter wants to make things bigger and expand them (also about law, legal matters). Venus/Mercury not in their favorite signs, but make art, not war - maybe there’s a way to communicate or write - tap into optimism.
Flower Power: Strawberry Blossom Elixir to amplify optimism and envision/expect best-case scenarios.
This is a difficult day. Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio ruled by Mars. This is the peak moment in the Mars retrograde cycle. When the Sun and Mars make their opposition every two years. This moment of dynamic conflict, stuckness. In a hero’s journey perspective of the Mars retrograde cycle, this is the moment that you face a dragon. If you’re not sure where this will hit, look at the Aries section of your chart; look at your motivations in this area. This might be the trickiest time of the month. Venus and the moon conjunction that has a lot to do with the heart; as you face the dragon or demon, use your heart as the way out. Mars is very close to us - hot red; we’ll work with inner/outer conflict.
Power struggles. Whatever conflict you might be involved with this week, this is not the final act of this dynamic. Think about what you’re fighting for - even if it’s within yourself. Many people are feeling exhausted and tired. You might want to explore the relationship of anger and grief.
Flower power: Open Heart blend for fearless vulnerability, uninhibited surrender, intimate freedom.
Questions to ask yourself:
When are we fighting with ourselves?
How do we project that outwardly vs. facing the inner conflict?
How can you make space for yourself to turn inward?
The new moons are coming very late in the sign, which means that in only seven more days we’ll be in Scorpio. Libra is cardinal air - the scales of justice, it’s also the merchant’s scales (money). Libra energy wants to have fairness for everything and can be very indecisive. Very beautiful, diplomatic energy, but it’s in a massive T-square with planets in Capricorn and in opposition with Mars. If you’ve got planets in late degrees in any cardinal sign, this aspect may be really difficult for you. Venus is in Virgo (not so pleased) in opposition to Neptune (a little confused & delusional).
A couple of beautiful things - Sun and Moon are in conjunction with a star with the name Spica - helping humanity thrive; also connected with food and grain. Even though it’s a challenging time, this is a helpful aspect. Even though Venus is not super stoked in Virgo and tired of not having as much fun as she wants, there is a relationship to the Pallas Athena (Goddess of Wisdom), which means feminine energy, new strategies, inner realms.
New Moon is also trine the North Node: set an intention to work towards a more diplomatic opposition with better communication. Look at this new moon as a place to set intentions for the next 6 month visions. Mercury conjunction Juno which speaks to partnerships on equal footing; however Scorpio is a little manipulative, sometimes an ulterior motive.
Saturn (heavy responsibilities that you want to avoid). Mars just wants to be on Spring Break.
Second of the three squares: challenges your optimism, resistance, conflicts in your life or on the world stage. Consider both sides of the story; consider the long-term plan, not the immediate conflict. Watch out for lots of bravado and posturing.
Question to ask yourself:
What is a nourishing way of thinking and how can we move forward in a new way?
Amplify tangible success in your life. Wonderful aspects, but they’re not in the best position to fully celebrate.
What’s working? What are the wins? Consider money and food.
What are the small wins? Even if it’s a long-term project, celebrate the small wins.
What was that out-of-the-box idea I had earlier in the month? Did it pan out?
From stock markets to sourdough loaves of bread, you’re trying to make the best out of some challenging circumstances.
From Libra to Scorpio season - a month of Scorpio. What is your Scorpio house? That area will get a lot of light and consciousness in your chart/life. Scorpio is fixed, deep, emotional energy. It also feels like detective work - get to the bottom of things. Scorpio is also about deeply buried toxins and poisons. Scorpio is alchemical (represented by scorpion, eagle & phoenix): transmutation, transformation.
Pragmatism, re-building from an upgraded value system.
What can we make work? What’s really possible? We can see it, feel it, touch it … what’s pragmatic, earthy? What we really think is important is changing for us - we’re making different choices. What are you re-building? Where has your value system upgraded? How are you creating something long-lasting and mature from this place?
Mercury becomes a day planet now, more things connected to Scorpio becoming visible over next days & weeks.
Deep insight. From now forward, Mercury goes into being a day planet instead of nighttime. Hidden things become more visible. Look at hidden motives and hidden toxins, whether it’s inside yourself or on the world stage.
She gains a lot of power here) Planets are entering Libra from either end.
Venus immediately gets some power: Mercury gets a little indecisive. This will still feel like justice, scales of justice, fairness. This will be a good time for sales, in terms of merchant scales.
Kinetic, nervous system energy with this full moon - showing up in the body and the mind/body connection. Look at your finances. There is a little bit of hidden spice. Something unexpected might happen. Something stuck is finally freed. A sudden change can lead to more freedom. LIberation and expansion come from that change - usually it’s something you know you need to change anyway. The whole month is a training ground to change the things inside yourself in order to attain your ideal of yourself, whether it’s assertive, compassionate, clear, etc. Something can get unhooked here (or hooked, if that’s what you choose).
T-square with Hygea (hygiene, prevention, living healthfully) in Leo (purity of the intention of your heart) - stay hydrated, grounded and get in touch with your heart for decisions regarding your health.
To get a jump start on stabilizing for the shifts these cosmic shifts will instigate, below are the flowers I recommend for this lunar cycle:
OPEN HEART: Vulnerability, openness, presence, interconnectedness, timing, being in the moment, letting go of rushing.
PINK MELASTOMA IN OUR FLOWEREVOLUTION PROGRAM: The Pink Melastoma flower feels like a warm embrace. It expands your aura into greater warmth, compassion and gentleness. It helps you acknowledge and accept all parts of yourself, even your shame, anger and self-perceived limitations. It helps you welcome your own true inner nature, as well as the sticky, rocky, edgy aspects of your character. Embracing the challenging, irritable parts of ourselves with love speeds up resolution.
MAGNIFIES: Facing fears, emotional purification, transforming the underbelly, ability to look at parts of oneself that are scary, sense of safety, interconnectedness, feeling of being free of expectations
DISSOLVES: Anger; anguish; frustration from a variety of causes; shyness; kind of unseen; fear of speaking out, saying the wrong thing, being judged
