Flower Essences for Yoga + Meditation Teachers

I love teaching meditation classes, and at the beginning of class I mist the room with flower elixirs—and the students too, if they’re open to it (they almost always are). They come in full of the stress and busyness of their day, and then are expected to sit quietly and observe their minds and bodies. Using relaxing and calming flower elixirs helps us slow down a little, calms the ner- vous system, quiets the mind, and sharpens our awareness.

As an awareness tool, meditation is the perfect companion for flower elixirs. Both practices gently highlight our blind spots, one by one. As flower elixirs work their magic, meditation and self-awareness practices become a valuable tool for accelerating insights and consciously shifting our behavior.
